Opus SPX Selective Soldering System

The Opus is the only system that provides 4 axes of motion in a tool-free board motion system. An Opus provides universal 18 x 18" (450 x 450mm) board handling; there is no need for costly tooling to hold different PCB»s.

The Opus SPX is a selective soldering Cartesian robot utilizing closed-loop servos for X, Y, Z, tilt and rotational motion control. The Opus gantry articulates a PCB above flux and solder stations for an expansive range of selective soldering automation. The Opus can be programmed in minutes to handle basic to complex dip, drag, wire bond and other through-hole soldering processes previously performed by hand or wave soldering.

Servo motor motion is standard. Closed loop temperature control of the nitrogen inertion process provides superior thermal performance of the soldering miniwave. Innovative miniwave nozzle designs deliver wave stability and defect free performance.
